Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

I just brought a press as the Mrs wants to shoot skeet also and have a good source of cheap sea freigth from the US for lead etc - the numbers now make sense to reload 12g.
I understand that the selction of wads to hull etc is a big thing, along with primers
I'll be using Fiocchi hulls as can get unlimited amount of free ones from the club, but other that that, I'm in the reseach phase

Spanners if you want some hulls and other bits I've got some lying around that I'll never use, for the cost of postage you can have them.

Been a while since I have done it but I remember Brownies hulls being fickle, they sometimes crushed a bit but worked well enough. You can reload cheaper than you can buy a box of Club 9's?.
There must be somone using Win AA ammo at the club? I used to scrounge all them up.

    ADI Guide has some info.
My shotshell Handbook dosen't mention Fiocchi (it's only 20 years old)

With the freight connections I have ex US, lead and wads just became a SHITLOAD cheaper.
Mrs is goign to be shooting skeet also, so figured why not

AA hulls.. all the old boys keep their prized hulls to themselves.
I can get a bunch of once fired AA ones ex US for under $100nz/1000 so may just do that

Thats a good price. Some of the club members probably had way to much money and left them for me and any other tight asses to pick up. I will have a look when I get home and see what I have got and you can have it. I know I have around a kg of lead, just not sure on the size. I had an old mech press that got chucked in the offal hole after it had to many bits fall off it.

    All good info - thanks

Looks like those Win AA hulls should do the job

How many loadings would you expect out of them - so I can gauge how many to get...

Depends on your press and cases really, but 5-6 untill they split maybe more.
