Anyone shot light weight 223 projectiles ?

Just thinking of making up a load of something quite lightweight, my ADI books says 35gr Noslers will be 3610 fps with 24.3gr.

Anyone made loads with light stuff ? My experience has been for shooting 55gr for my 1/12 Howa which is scarily accurate enough with plain Jane Hornady.

Just thinking for shits n giggles

I'd be fairly confident the 35's could be pushed a fair bit faster than that.

I run 40gr Nosler BTs, at circa 3700 without any trouble. Had been running them at 3800++ also fine, but load was backed off to find one that suited both my rifle and my brother's for ease of ammo sharing. (loading done by an uncle)

Very accurate out of my remington. Fun wee load to shoot.

Don't underestimate the killing power of the nosler BT's. The solid base (on the 40's at least) makes it a very effective killer even on larger game. Very fast kills on wallabies and goats.

Cheers for the info. It'll just be for paper and the occasional rabbit at longer range.

I'm using 40gr Vmax "Plain Janes" and they're awesome. Long range rabbits hares and other pests don't stand a chance. Cloverleafs at 150 yards ... you'll have fun drill

Started using Alliant RLX-10 but migrated to ADH AR2206H because its a more compatible powder for use with my other calibre (243) ..

It seems to be about the same accuracy and speed, although I've not got my little black book on me so I can't quote chapter and verse re what powder weights I used.

This is out of a Tikka T3 1:12 20" suppressed
