    Anyone using 270wsm & R26

Ive got some R26 to try in my 270wsm. Would be interested in hearing anyone's experiences with it and loads. I'm trying it with 69 grns and 130 grn Barnes LRX.

Was going to say the same thing, I'm getting 2770fps with 208gr and 2213sc and thats with a 24 inch barrel. That's a fair old whack. @wsm junkie is that suppressed or braked?

doing some load dev at present in my 300WSM ... trying out Hyb100V and getting 3040 -3050 fps with the new 180 Berger VLD EH's
Went up to higher loads at 3090 fps but faint head stamp and bolt lift getting sticky, so back off a tad.

@Tahr @McNotty yes it's suppressed.....recoils not too bad considering it's a carbon tikka KiwiGreg put together for me - bare weight 5.9lbs...not sure of weight all set up ready to rock.
I got just over 2900 on load D but no need to trash my brass....cases are on 5th firing and primer pockets still nice and tight. @Tahr there seems to be quite a few using it in thier 300saum's on the US forums as well.

You will be happy with that load, should be a good load at that speed.

Brian and I went for a hunt last night (crawled into bed at 4am), and after firing just the 3 shots with the R26 and 130 Barnes LRX to test the load (as above) and coming down 3 clicks, I took the 270wsm.

Right on dark at 9.15pm a spiker came out and I poll-axed it at exactly 400 yards. Hit high in the shoulder the LRX expanded well and exited. Lots of damage. Very impressed with the combination.

Bullet entry (exit is too gory).

@Micky Duck. Yeah, she was happy. I'm off into the Kawekas tomorrow for 4 days to sulk my way through the new year period. Wife is in the UK for 3 weeks.

Couldn't think of a better way to sulk through new year! I used to bugger off the same...before kids came along. Enjoy yourself @Tahr
