hell yes..... BUT BE AWARE my rifle has long throat and loose bore so approach with caution..... run it at maximun....eg 60 grns for the 130s and 62 for the 100grns,that what I poke in behind 110 barnes..... 60 grns will fill to base of neck,62 will be to top of neck...crunchy crunchy when seating projectiles.
the 2213 and hodgdon powder 4831 are now the same powder...I find the hodgdon slightly bulkier...but that could be because the AR2213SC is now cut shorter..thus the sc ... I run magnum primers cause thats what Ive got and go back a few years and 50% of load data called for it in this type of load.mine are seated out to mag length, nowhere near rifling as throat is too long for that.
funny if you look back at old data they had more 4831 than 2213 in a case.....look at modern loads and its the same.
SAFE IN MY RIFLE...WOULD BLOW UP MATES...APPROACH WITH DUE CAUTION!!!!
This stuff hasn't got the sc written on it
that cause its more than 15??? years old.... ADI made it short cut (sc) about that time ago...i think to make it metre easier??? still same powder yours is older and in bigger granuals.
adi or hodgdon websites will have data for it....
All there data is sc
2nd edition ADI manual printed 1996.....page 26/27 .270 winchester
has 2213 130grn projectile max of 58 grns
has 2213 100grn projectile ma of 61 grns
also has at bottom of page NB use magnum primers with 2213 and 2214 powder loads.
Nick Harvey manual 3rd edition
100grn projectile 58grns for 3150fps----61 grns for3250fps
130grn projectile 55grns for 2920------58grns for 3098fps
which just shows why you have to be cautious and start low then work up.......
Load data is the same for both versions of this powder. I’ve been to 63 gns behind a 130 in a long throated R700 , .270Win. 58.5gns behind a 150. You could start around 57, 58 and work up from there in 1.0 increments.
