Finally got s few hours in the workshop to finish my barrel and sized/fire formed a handful of brass for it.
I loaded a few 69gr Sierra TMKs to run some powder tests over the chrono, started with 36gr of RL16 which gave me 3220fps and worked it up to 38gr which gives 3360fps. No pressure signs at that but this is right on the velocity I want to run.
I will run a few velocity/group tests but I will probably settle around the 3250fps mark.
Here's the first 5 on paper at 100yds.. this load was 38gr of RL16 at 3360fps AV..
A half inch group with lots of room for load development.
Here's the new baby between a 6.5x47 Lapua and a 6.5 Creedmoor.
Id say the case capacity is about the same as a .22 Creedmoor .
