Auckland Where to buy Ground Walnut shells

    Hi guys,

Does anyone know of a good place to buy the ground walnut shells for reloading in AKL?

    Cheers

Any sandblasters up there? I got mine from Econoclean but I got the last he had. They're expensive to buy, unless like mine they were free

oh ok cheers for that. Will go for a drive and see what I can find. I don't even know the going rate for crushed wall nut shell. Might have to learn the hard way. I find the Corn Cob stuff does ok but not really clean.

Can you not make your own?...there is a shitload of walnuts on the ground at the moment.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Sometimes pet shops have ground walnut as cage litter for reptiles.

Heaps cheaper than Gun shops too.

I've tried a number of products... 99% are shite.
Lyman treated cob - green stuff.
Lasts 10x longer than anything and no dust.
The worst was some stuff from pet shop. Filled up and got stuck in every case. Total bitch

I use rice, cleans the brass up nice but doesn't polish as much as I'd like, trying to find some fine walnut now to get a better finish.
