    Auction what's it worth?

So I have the chance to have a crack at 100odd Kynoch 7x57 173grain rounds.
Start price is £50 to £70 for those that don't know a is a sealed bid which is you don't know what every one else is bidding.
They just open the envelopes and highest bid wins.
So I don't want to go way over.
    Any one hazard a guess?
Store brought and your looking at £35 for 20 139grain.
    £52?

Not unless you enjoy loading Berdan primers! That old Kynoch ammo is all Berdan primed. Buy some new US Boxer primed ammo or new cases for much less money.

The other issue is vintage. Brass does not improve with extreme age, in fact it becomes somewhat embrittled.

When you load old cartridges, berdan primers are common, made a water hydraulic system to pressure them out. Then bought some Bertram brass, expensive, but a lot easier, 577/450

If could put in a low bid and just shoot em once and then chuck the brass, mind your 173gr on a muntjac is like shooting rabbits with a 30 06 messy

TBH old ammo is worth FA unless to a collector. Its a bit like buying an old car that your not allowed to start or test drive.

I'd say 20% of new price. That way in one in Five goes off, your not loosing anything.
