Appreciate the input fellas, maybe I was naive to think a lighter harder bullet going faster could deliver the same result as a heavier softer one going slower (all things are not equal it would seem, I'm not into chasing wounded animals and unless anyone can shed anymore light on this I think I will just stick to my 145gn ELDX in the 270win I have plenty of experience using them and they are proven effective .
