    Barrel Nodes

calling all experts, when changing projectiles is it easy enough to reload to the node of the barrel?. example 6.5-06 127gr LRX BC .468 44gr of 2209 if i change to the 129gr accu bond with a BC of .580 and load to 44gr will i still be in the node of the barrel or would i have to do a ladder test all over again.

You should always drop back at least a grain & work back up, especially when going to or from solid copper to jacketed projectiles

If you or someone has Quickflight you can work out time in the barrel. Same time should be same node. Otherwise you could try velocity. Same muzzle velocity "should" be same time in barrel.

Depends how your barrel like your bullet. And you could have bullet brand A landing a group 3" right of bullet brand B group.

All other aspects being secondary to the above is my current opinion.

the barrel really likes the LRX @44gr 2209 giving sub moa. would you expect the Accu bond lr to perform similar due to projectile weight or does the BC change that or as mentioned the difference between monolithic v bonded have a variance.

I think its luck of the draw where your barrel puts them.
I had one barrel print 130 ttsx neatly two inches higher than 168 amax and the next barrel puts the barnes like a foot low and a foot left of 178 amaxes!

Barrel harmonics can sometime be more complicated than women.
When you find a barrel that nicely accommodate pretty much any kind of average loads and bullets under an 2" at 100m, you found the Graal!
All you can do is try, because your barrel will be different from all the other barrels from the forum members.
