    Saw this being done online and thought i might chuck it up. It takes the strain of the eyes trying to look at thoose fine graduations. Not sure if photos worked.

    Yeah that was an experiment. the bench is 2.5m long so there is a fair amount of room. Ill try please you more next time Dad.

    That is certainly the hi tech option. I have rigged a small shaving mirror at an angle. It magnifies the image and I just have to glance down don’t have to bend down and squint. It works well. But obviously this works too.

    You could improve the view by gluing part of a needle or pin to the bar.Makes it quicker to align
    and more accurate.

    I had a look at it and it would give you a good reference but i am happy with how it is.
