    Benchmark 2 for 308

Hi all. Is anyone here loading 308 with ADI benchmark 2?
Have plenty of the powder so keen to try use it... just wondering what peoples results are and what weight projectiles they are using?
I know there is better suited powders but this is what i have and this is what I'm going to use.
    Cheers

its pretty close to ar2206 which is pretty good in .308
I say pick a load say 2 grains below book max and see how it goes... if you have lots of it,go for it.

I run BM 8208 which is hotter than 2206H. epends what you are trying to push with it. Have you got access to a ballistic program to try it out like quickload.

That sounds like a plan to me. Next mission will be getting some projectiles. Reviews on Dr google seem pretty good.

Looking at something between 130-160gr not too fussed as long as it shoots well enough.
No im not really up with the ballistics apps etc...
Just test loads until im happy with it. Keeping it simple here.

My memory is scratchy, but I believe a quick dirty load I did was 150gr SST, 43gr BM2, Lapua case, CCI 200. 2650ish from a 18" barrel. Bergara extreme hunter.

Great to hear BM2 is definitely usable from the comments.

I use it for 130gr speers and it is very accurate. Never chronographed it though so can't comment on velocity.

I played with BM2 in .308 a few years ago with 150grn FMJ projectiles.

It worked acceptably, but there was a very fine line - .2gn from memory - between no pressure signs and popped primers.

Work up to your load with caution.

@Kiwilad2021 how did you get on with Benchmark 2 and your load development?

I've struggled with 150g SST and 2208 out of a 16in Tikka (should be easy to do right...) BUT found that some 168g ELDMs with IMR3031 are a much more accurate load. Hoping that Benchmark2 will be pretty similar to 3031
