Benchmark 8208 for 308. Anyone using this.?

I am looking to fling some 165gr 308 rnds down range and am deciding between adi 2208 and the 8208. Has anyone had any experience with these powders?

    Greetings Poodle,
You also might like to consider AR2206H. In my rifle with a 510 mm barrel this gave close to corrected book velocity while AR2208 fell well short. This may just be a slow batch of AR2208 but I have decided that AR2206H will be my standard powder for the .308 in future. BM8208 would be just about as good.
    Regards Grandpamac.

BM8208 meters well from a powder thrower, I use it for NRA shooting with 155's, most people go the route that Grandpamac mentions with either 2206H or 2208. It depends how you want to go and what other rifles you load for that you can swap between with the one powder.
I always look to do this so I can justify buying a bulk lot of the one powder type.
I have read that BM8208 will go over pressure quickly, ie shows no sign, no signs, no signs, then too hot!

2206 is great...2208 works and is marginally easier to meter as grains are smaller...win 748 is better still and super easy to meter....either with LEE spoons or powder thrower.
