    Berdan to boxer conversion.

    Hi everyone,
Just an enquiry for a little help.
Is there anyone around Nelson/Motueka that has a Mosin Nagant that would be willing to test a few steel shells that have been converted from Berdan to Boxer primed. The shells are not loaded with projectiles...All i need is if the boxer primers are @ a depth in the pocket in order to ignite properly. After that maybe try a few reloaded live rounds.
Ammo is so expensive nowadays I just thought it would be a good way to hunt cheaper. I do convert other calibers but don't have a Mosin Nagant anymore.
I sold my Nagant about 2 months ago otherwise this request wouldn't of been needed.
PM me if one can help.
    Phil.

I admire your creativity but as I have an enquiring mind I am pondering why if you have done it successfully for other calibres you do own you be looking for someone to test one you don't?

Over the years I've had firearms that I could test with but now I don't have the Mosin. I only need test a couple to see if the boxer primers will not be too deep in the pockets.
