    Out of my 16" 308 I'm running around 42gr of ar2206h behind a 178gr ELD-x Should still be doing 1800fps at over 450 and 1000ft-lbs to over 600 not that I will ever shoot it that far.
    I've looked at the lighter bullet setups but I'll take over 40% more bullet weight vs 20% more speed.
    The light weight bullets also bleed off speed quickly and run out of puff.
