They don’t make 2206 with no h anymore.
I still have a tin I bought pre 1998, labeled Mulwex not ADI, and price sticker is $33.50 or so!

Yeah 2206h is all g in the short 308s. I have used it behind 125ABs, 130 TSX and TTSX, 165 BT and 168 VLD. All shot well and good speeds. 16" mod 7. Boots like a stallion being milked but

The 225 reaches the lands pretty easily. But its a big bullet. I had mine doing 2300fps and it was a hammer. Could get a bit more but accuracy fell off a bit. It worked well nailed a few Chamois and reds with it. All dropped on the spot.

the 1:12 twist is a bit of a limiting factor for pushing the bigger high BC bullets at any kind of pace or so it would seem so far

Those 125 accubonds will work mint up close man, if anything i would be looking for a more frangible LR load to pair with the 125's. They need speed.

I found mine was very jump sensitive. The 168 hornady and 168 nbt shot 1.5moa at 40 thou jump and half moa at 20 thou.

    41grns of 2208 is what I push the 180 hornadies with.....mild loading
winchester 748 gets used for the rest...it was origonal powder for the 08 and still works fine n dandy
2206 is great powder for 08 or the mighty .223

Well I got some AR2206H from gunworks last week and set about loading up a new ladder

As you can see I could get much more speed but settled on accuracy at 2832fps average

This granted is only 2 rounds at 100 yards but I'm happy enough with the load so will now call it done and load up a batch to fo drop confirmation and some hunting rounds.

I would definitely load a enough for a 3 or 5 shot group before you load a bunch. It's unfortunaly easy to fluke a small group with 2 can be easy with 3 and is harder with 5 or more. It will be hunting accurate for sure though so you can get it out.

Put 20 plus rounds through it this afternoon lets just say 3 shot groups like this at 100 yards were the result once I got my technique down pat.

Should have never let it go the first time, certainly not going anywhere now. Time to put some deer on it whilst I save up for a decent scope for it.
