Berger 135 grn in 25 cal

I see Berger has released a 135 hybrid in the 25 Cal.
So is anyone running a 1-8 or 1-7 twist 25 Cal barrel.
As I've always been keen to make a 25 Creedmoor or another 25/08.
I know alot are using 131 Ace projectiles in the states.

That’s good news to me. Two of us are building 257 weatherbys with 1-8 twist barrels I will be getting a couple of boxes to try as soon as I can find a stockest. I use the 120 bthp Sierra in my 25/06 but I don’t think it will have enough twist for the 135s

    25 cm would be cool.
But for the cost of a build i dont see the point as it wont do anything your 260 wont. So buy my hi-tec stock instead haha

Sounds like @muzr257 might have some useful input here.

John Thompson at Vulcan Barrels is making them. I am going with 29 inches to best utilise the case capacity. John is based at Akaroa outside Christchurch

Last week I asked Greg Hudson at Custom Guns to put in a order for four boxes with the Nz importer so if any one is interested they could add to it.

What price are we talking about for a finished barrel or does it still need profiling and threading?

John is only interested in making barrels and does profiling and threading but I am not sure if he will cut flutes. You would have to ask him. I think my barrel is going to cost me just on 700 dollars which I am more than happy with

Has anyone done anything with the newer high BC 25 cal bullets as yet? I think BlackJack has stopped production, but Berger has the 135gr.

Yup, @GWH I have a 25CM running 133g Berger Elite Hunters, normally carry stock of the Elite Hunter and 135g LRHT, hoping for more soon.
