    Berger 6mm 95gr Classic Hunter / Targex

Has anyone had good results with either of the above?
BC on Berger is .427 and from what I’ve seen on other post, Targex is .450?
Bit better than Hornady 95gr SST with its .335 BC.

I had exceptional accuracy and great terminal performance with targex 95gr rbbt.

Have not used the 95 gr but have had great experiences with the 87 gr VLD hunting from both 1:8 and 1:10 barrels.
NB However I did struggle getting decent groups with the 105 gr VLD Hunting in the 1:8 barrel but 108 gr ELDM shoot fine.
Did not spend time chasing seating depth with them.

    +1 for the Targex 95gr.
Was a regular user in .243 and 6xc.
Using the 70gr in the 6x45 at the moment

G1 BC on the 95gn Berger is .486 - the 87gn is .412 - the 95 Berger kills deer and Tahr dead. The 95 Targex is a Berger jacket with a rebated boat tail, same terminal performance as standard Berger. 10 twist is fine. 95 Berger is my standard .243 pill for bigger animals than wallabies.

@257weatherby are you referring to the 95gr (VLD) Hunting?: https://bergerbullets.com/product/6-...g-vld-hunting/
The data I’m seeing is a bit different and supposedly can’t run that one as calls for atleast 1:9” twist.

Here the classic hunter which I’m considering:

Probably easier to use this chart with all Berger bullets:

Yep I was shooting them out of a Tikka 595 so 10 twist.
Targex is on trademe and here.
Perhaps send him a pm and ask him to list some if he has none up.

You have been told by people actually using that pill in 10 twist that it works. My G1 numbers from the Berger manual, a manual I actually possess. Field testing out to 400yds those numbers have lined up for me.

    Weatherby out.

    Hi @Barefoot I am also a 6x45 fan. What's your 6x45 load for the 70gn?
Always trying something new .... 9.3x62 with cast bullets

@243wssm I'm currently using 28.5gn BLC2, 70gr Targex, total length 2.260" as its the standard mag length in the Zastava.
2900fps average. The Targex are all holding hands at 100m.
Looking at having another try with the sierra 85gr which used to be one of my two gotos for the .243 but there were quite slow due to mag and projectile length.

Does anyone know the best way to get notifications about new stock from Tsrgex?
I know Targex is struggling with international shipping like everyone else, just not sure how to get on a waiting list or notification list.
