As above but 130gr sst or nosler BT to the mix. Powder for the 130gr reloder 26 then superformance. If they aren't available then adi powders will be, 2213sc or 2209.
For the 145gr superformance gives it extremely good velocity in a short barrel.
Factory ammo. Hard to go past any of these 3. Winchester supreme ballistic silver tips 130gr, Hornady superformance 130gr or the 145gr eldx. Any of them will do out to 600 yards.

My go to .270win load for well over a decade (using same criteria you note) is 130gr Nosler Accubond & AR2209. Mild pressures, good velocity, consistently accurate and smacks over everything it hits.

I have a backup go to load using 130gr Sierra Gameking & RL22 which is very accurate and a relatively economic load to make.

Have always planned on working up a load using 140-145gr projectiles (like the 1240gr Nosler BT), but have never had the need given how well the above loads perform sub 400m ranges.

130gr SST, IMR 4831, starline brass, and fiocchi LR primers has given me good results. I use 55.5 grains charge weight for an extreme spread of 18fps, standard dev of 7.8fps and an average velocity of 2963fps.

I wouldn't own a .270 with less than a 22 inch barrel. Any good bullet will work. I shot a lot of 130 grain Hornady SP with 60-62 grains 2213 depending on the rifle and brass. Nowadays I would try the ELDX.

    Greetings,
If I recall the best load for anything in the .270 was 60 grains of WW2 milsurp 4831 with the 130 grain projectile. I believe that this load was carved on a stone tablet and handed down from on high to Jack O'Connor.

After much experimenting I settled on the 140gn Accubond in front of 2213sc. 24" barrel so it was going about 3000fps.

Grandpa Mac is onto it... With suppressed rifle the heavier 145_150 and up to 170 are just as nice to shoot. 60 grns is a crunch 58 much easier with ar2213 and these days the two powders are that close to the same I mix and interchange without issue because I'm below max.the 140grb Hornady boat tail soft point interlock is boringly easy to get to group, boringly easy to shoot deer deader than a dead thing too.

There is also a jack O'Connor load with 4064 that he developed before 4831 popped up. Haven't tried it but I will.

    Greetings @csmiffy,
We tend to forget that before IMR4350 arrived like a thunderbolt around 1940 IMR4064 was considered a slow powder in a field of not that many powders. There was an article in a recent Handloader or Rifle about the load and there is still pressure tested modern data for IMR4064 and AR2208 available on line.
    Regards Grandpamac.
