Kimjon might be the best place to start for load data.

Also after sifting though the reloaders nest website they go on about a 6.5x284 win and Norma... whats the diff? and how do I tell ? I always thought this was straight derived form the 284 win and simply necked down.

If you are just starting out reloading you should start with the .308 a much easier calibre to learn on the 6.5x284 is a whole different animal like learning to drive in a Porsche turbo, you will wear the barrel out
before you learn much the .308 will last up to 10,000 rounds the 6.5 2000 if you are careful, just my .02cents worth

have you bothered to check the ADI reloading data on their website? there is plenty of info out there on 6.5x284's as its a very popular cartridge here and overseas. plug it into google along with what bullet amd powder you intent to use.

    same goes with 308

in my x284 im going with 50.5gr of 2209 with a 140 which is getting up there, but in my opinion if your not going to run it faster than 2800fps then your better off staying with a 6.5x55/260 etc
