    Exclamation Blown primer pockets

This is the third case that this has happened to Lapua brass, fifth reloading running 45 gr of 2208 and a 150 gr sierra gameking. Primers are Winchester large rifle. Case prep tumbled, washed and blown out. Dirty pockets get a clean. Neck sized only.Name: blown pocket.JPG

Same primers used in RP and Winchester cases no problems with them, just the Lapua anyone got any ideas?, loath to dump the 50 cases but getting little gas cuts in the bolt head is not a good look either

Think you gotta a prob, I'm gluing berdan primers into my 500 BPE with nail polish cause they fall out! Got some new brass coming that take standard large rifle primers, sooner the better! My mates got 5000 old Winchester l.R primers he wants to sell.

As the others said ditch the winchester primers before they wreck the bolt head on your rifle, don't even bother risking them with the sub loads either change your primers outright for everything.

So anyone want some winny lrps? as Toby said guaranteed to blow up one way or another. Make excellent firecrackers!
It's strange though that I,ve only had the problem so far in my best cases and only in this rifle, the 3030, 6.5 and all the others have been trouble free.

Three little pits randomly spaced round the one hole that's supposed to be there.
