One out of 30 rnds fired in lever action. Sticky to extract. Ill prolly back the max powder charge back half gr to be safe and also bin the brass and start with new, am using diff headatamps..... thoughts?

had the same rifle (no longer tho) and got that when charge at top end/older cases.
Also shows as bright ring on case at top of base; then eventually cracking....

Looks hot for a lever action. Back it off a bit and full length size every time.
the BLR while being a lever action actually has a bolt that is controlled by planetary gears controlled by the lever. pretty damn strong action. i used mine with some pretty hot loads with no issue (308)Quote:

Its a fairly heavy stamp.
fed brass is pretty soft in the head and does stamp easily compared to say lapua.
Backing off half a grain/a grain probably a good idea.
Yeah. Still no where near the extraction power as a turn bolt though. I owned a MLR in 308 for 5 years and shot factory ammo and reloads. Great rifle but I would never run it as hot as my bolt actions.Quote:

well with 125grn Nosler ballistic tips we going sub moa which aint bad for a 30+ year old bush rifle.....

Smiddy this is me 308. Barrel coukd have been cut shorter, but as it is its pretty compact.... prettty quiet with the ASE can......
