I make up a Gallon at a time and it lastes me ages,I usually end up giving some away too.I use it on all my firearms, not just the BP stuff.
I recommend the use of Lanoline if you can find it,but as stated in the text it works just as well without it.
The Oils seem to "season" the bore perhaps penetrating the pitts and rough spots in the Steel so the Bullet leaves less lead behind.
I also dip my Bullets in Cheap Mayonnaise before I fire them, this means the first bearing surface is being lubed as it scoots down the bore. You can use whatever lube you like,I know a guy who scored an industrial sized tub of KY Jelly but its all just an attempt to keep the fowling soft
I was contemplating bringing a Kammerlader home, but already have a couple of other treasures inbound to take on "Safari " with you.
