    Brass life?

    Kia ora whanau,

How many times would be a basic rule for reloading my norma 270 brass? This was all originally factory ammo and have reloaded 3-4 times. Load is .5 grain under max and cant see any obvious signs of pressure or wear.

Hate to throw it out but want to be safe.

With Reloaders around me up to 18 times, low pressure on cases will be more . All depends on the make of case as well

Keep going on one round till the primer falls out. I have no experience with 270 or your reloading technique but I have 6 firings out of 308 brass so far without even a FL size. I'd say any less than 10 firings would be disappointing.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

I'd keep loading, I would imagine you'll get at least another 3 and more than likely 5. I've fired federal factory ammo 7 times with no issues, I user Nosler now and am at my 8th firing with no issues at all and for the last 3 to 4 firings have been with loads 5 grain over max - this is also with a .270. How many times have you had to trim them?

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

As long as it chambers after a mild resize or better yet, after firing, you are all good.
Primer pockets still firm will generally mean you have no concerns with case head expansion.
Necks are generally first to go on L/A cases due to resizing and brass flo.
Should get at least 8-9 goes I reckon Gibo.

you might find if your not annealing your going to lose neck tension and accuracy soon after a few more firings. as the neck gets work hardened.
