    brass question

bought a 270 , found some brass , dies etc from my old 270 , cant find the full length die but i do have a neck die.
question is if the brass fired from my old rifle chambers and ejects sweet as through the new rifle is it safe to just neck size n go shoot it? im thinking yes?
