    BSA hunter crazy accuracy

Fun outing to the range with Dads 222 yesterday. I bought it a couple year ago off TM. bad buy as the it's not ejecting shells and wont feed with more than one in the Maxwell. and has pitting in the barrel. and was advertised as fully functional... why did I not send it back you ask... it sat in my cupboard for 8month as I was going to get it reamed to 223... but the barrel wasnt able to be freed for rechamberin so I parked it up a while and thought. 8month later I test fired it and found the issues. oh well but man does it shoot. Dads been using factory ammo till now so as to harvest some brass.
first test on load dev 3 shot of three powder charges. first group .5 moa. 2nd group 1moa... third group .2Moa. old redfield 3x9 sits on it. the trick to seeing the target weel enough is large X's on an angle so the arms are still visible when the cross hairs would obscure the standard cross target. Anyways I guess I should try get the ejection and feeding sorted some day lol

They have a solid bar ejector that is held up with a spring in the trigger group. First check would be to make sure the ejector is rising into position as the bolt is retracted. If someone has taken the trigger off the spring may be missing or it might be rusted or gummed up.
Thinking about the feeding issue Id start with the mag follower spring, it may need a little careful manipulating to to increase the upward tension. I say careful as they can break. The other thing to check is damage to the extractor, being a CRF , single loading and forcing the extractor over the rim of the case can cause some damage.
