    Looks like a good material for testing bullet expansion, much more realistic and similar to animal tissue, a great idea.

    Here's a .308 federal power shok I retrieved from a deer. went through a lot of deer before stopping!
    Don't have a fine weight scale but on my regular kitchen scales it comes out at 9g or 138ish grains remaining. I did not buy the ammo so not sure if it was the 150 grain or 180 to start with, I will let you make your own guesses on that one.

    Nice expansion and obviously worked you got the deer. I would think maybe 180 gr as after that much penetration 40 grains of weight lost sounds about right.
