    Buying 270 brass

Looks like my stash of crappy old Winchester brass has had it, so will be buying new cases.

What do you guys recommend for durable brass ?

    Hornady
    Norma
    Nosler

I've had a really good run with hornady brass, most on their 4th or 5th reload with no issues just minor trimming. Hard to go past Norma too.

I’m using nosler. I’ve probably got some once fired Winchester brass if you want it?

I used to buy 30-06 Lapua and neck then down to 270. Great quality cases.

I use anything but if I had to choose one I think Norma would be it, loads well and has good case capacity, and lasts well. Mate of mine bought a heap at a Deerstalkers Bring and Buy years back which had been loaded a few times. We loaded several more times and I have it now all sized and trimmed ready to load and it looks fine. Very durable brass.

I’m using GECO cases at the moment, from factory ammo I used to use. I expect my current batch to last a while, as I’m only on my 3rd loading and GECO is a RUAG company much like Norma (so I imagine these are Norma cases with a different headstamp).

I will carry on with Norma when these cases do fail, as the price with BlackWatch is pretty close to Hornady.
