Thread: Can you get pedal operated reloading presses?

Can you get pedal/foot operated reloading presses? I think it'd be great having both hands free and a lot quicker and easier.

I like your thinking savage. On a single stage press it would speed up I would say

It wouldn't take much.

An old singer sewing machine motor and foot pedal, a couple of linkages and a cam and your in business

They'd be great on a progressive press where you need to put projectiles and/or shells in by hand

I think I'll have a crack at making one in a couple of years when I have time, can't be that hard, push up and springs to return.

Anything is possible, make one. I like the idea

@Savage1 I'd suggest mounting the reloading press in an old hydraulic shop press frame that has a rooted ram or something. Use an old trampoline spring as a return spring, or even gut an old pedal box from pickapart. A bit of flat benchtop (perhaps offcuts from the kitchen people doing your new house?) on either side and you're in business.
