I agree with you there @dannyb not practical at all for a hunting rifle to single feed, sooo I made a little mod to my perfectly good rifle and now I can seat the 175s out to 3.45 and mag feed them. Attachment 139373
My personal preference for a long range hunting rig is to be able to mag feed as I can rack the bolt faster than I can single feed if a follow up is required.
Nothing wrong with single shot hunting rifles imo
A fair point @MSL I'm sure plenty of people have shot more animals than I have, with single shot rifles. I guess it depends on what you're hunting and how you're hunting it. If a rifle has a magazine it's definitely nice to be able to use it

Yep, if you’re trying to bowl a mob of goats etc then it’s definitely required. But I’ve lost count of the times I’ve shot both hind and yearling, single feeding.
