After a hiatus of 27 years I am going to shoot my muzzle loaders again.
I have located most of all my gear – moulds, casting pot, dipper, lead, powder, caps etc. (Fark you need a lot of shit for M/Loading.) Even found all my Snider and Martini-Henry brass so may even get them out eventually.
What I cannot find is the rosin I used to flux the casting pot with.
I still have heaps or pure bees wax which I could use and a small quantity of rosin cored solder which I can throw in which will flux the pot without changing the pure lead composition. Well hardly at all.
So, what are people using for flux these days?
@P38 suggested I use a tea candle next batch of sinkers.
