Thread: CCI 22LR Shotshell

Anyone used this ammo in a .22 and used it with a silencer?
This is the round with the little blue plastic cap on the end.
Does the cap only stop the tiny pellets from rolling around, or could it keep things together till out of the baffles?

id say it would get trapped inside your suppressor

There is a youtube vid of a guy doing this with a 22 pistol.

Probably best to do couple of tests (without suppressor) through paper at distances very close to muzzle to see where it starts to spread ?

Don't, just don't. They are rubbish, barely bruise mice at 10 metres.

Was thinking along those lines. I think I might be a bit wishful.

No shot cartridges work with a silencer get some earmuffs as the things are loud as. Disagree with perils comment as the many sparrows and starlings in my woolshed can attest to and yes the range is about 7-10 metres.

and don't shoot them at a hard surface if you are really close other wise youll be wearing it

used it on mice with bolt action - no suppressor. Works well in confined spaces like the loft or chook house
