    CCi primers....400 vs 450

Run out of 400's, got plenty of 450's (use for my 20tac)
Can I use the 450's with the same recipie I have (223rem: 25.0g BM2, 55g SP & BT pills), or are the 450's a bit hot?

Will be a hotter load as the 450 is hotter than the 400
But as long as you’re not pushing the pressures with your 400 load you should be ok
The load may shoot Different though

Crisis averted.....Our favorite shooting store, @Shooters Supplies ChCh, stayed open a bit longer for me to get in and grab some.

Perhaps load a few up starting a couple of grains lighter with the 450's to see what they do in case such a situation ever arises again? Least you'll have a tried and tested back up you can turn too

Why don’t you develop your 223 load with the 450’s and ditch the 400’s all together surely less hassle and less chance of a mistake if you use one primer for everything
