I had great hopes for CFE223 in my 223. The groupings were average at best. Some tight but inconsistent. Being ball powder I'm thinking magnum primers may be the solution. CFE223 does give significant speed but it's all for nought if its not accurate.
I've also tried RL15 as a 2208 substitute but it's pretty anemic. I think I was loading up to 24g RL15 under 60g V-max and 65g Sierra Pro Hunters. My barrel is 1:10 so I don't think it will shoot much heavier.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
