    CFE223 & 64 grn

Anyone using CFE223 and 64 grn projectiles in .223?
Interested in hearing your loads and velocities.

I've tried 26.5grns and winchester 64 grn as a cheap knock around load and wondering if its worth pushing it up at all to see if there is higher "node" that will work..

Rifle shoots about .5 moa with this load.

I've used these bullets in factory ammo, and they weren't too bad on deer actually. But my intention is to just use them for steel and bunnies because they are as cheap as chips.

I load 26.5grn of CFE223 behind a 62grn SS109 projectile (Heaps of these around the place currently at $150 / 1000 if you look hard enough).
Through my 14.5" Barrel I get a average of 2765 fps.
Through my 20" I would expect to be getting around 3000fps going of the difference in velocity from other loads.
This is a reasonably warm load.

Run 64gr PMC projectiles I picked up a while ago with 24gr BM2.

    Hey Thar! How you keeping?
Just my 0.02c$ as I can't find my details about my loads yet. I use to load Sierra 65gr (1380) SPBT for my tikka T3 19" barrel, I did use CFE and BM2, somehow I got the rifle to shoot both powders with same load with accuracy, however 300ft/s difference in velocity(2550ft/s average with CFE and 2880ft/s with BM2) and sometimes "random" accuracy.
Both loads very mild but accurate.

    Good luck!

    Mac
