The CED 2 with the IR screens is a pretty good compromise.Smaller( still sits on a tripod) and cheraper than the oelher, not as good but with 2 foot sensor spacing and IR Iv found it to be pretty acurate. The IR screens take out the varience you get with light change. Its not an Oehler but its a good step up from the shooting chroneys if thats what your looking for.

Sneeze, did you get the factory power pack for that ?? and does it still work well in bright sunlight using the IR ??
I've got the IR's for my CED 2, but haven't tried them yet.
Cheers, Red.
yes I got battery pack with it. found it had a broken wire at one of the plugs but just fixed it myself. The charger is 110 v so needed to get an adaptor.Seems to work well in all light.Very little( if any) of the variation that messed with my head form the old shooting chrony.Had it alongside gregs oehler, it read about 30 fps slower but simmilar consistancy.Still validate and fudge BC and velocity to fit actual drops though.
