    Cleaning Dies

    Hey guys

Hopefully this will be a pretty straightforward thread!

Just picked up some RCBS dies for my 7x64 off TM and, whilst in good condition, they are in need of a good clean.

What is the best way to do this? My first thought was to disassemble and soak in petrol and give a bit of a scrub and then once dry giving them a squirt with CRC to prevent rusting. I thought I would check before buggering them up though!

    Cheers!

Don't be afraid to take the dies apart and give them a clean.

Kerosene is better than petrol, Brake Cleaner is good too a very light oil after wont hurt either although you won't need to do this if you use Kero.

    Cheers

Sand blasting can revive badly rusted ones.

Good to know cam, these are not rusty, just covered in lube and gunk sticking to the lube, so just need a solvent to make them shiny again!

    Cheers
