Cleaning soloution recipe for ultra sonic cleaner.

I found an ultra sonic cleaner sitting unused at my old man's place.
Never used one before but wanting to try it out.
What is a good solution to use?
It is not a big unit but would easily fit 20-30.308 sized brass and around 100 9mm.

I use 50% white vinegar and water with a little bit of detergent, seems to work ok. This has a bit more info http://www.6mmbr.com/ultrasonic.html

I use less citric acid as it turns my brass pink at that strength, I have however put fresh lemon juice from one whole lemon into the water and it bought the brass up really clean and shiny

1 cup vinegar to 2 cups hot water, teaspoon of salt, teaspoon of dishwashing liquid.

I wash cases manually, agitate every 5 minutes for max of 30 mins. Rinse very well after with clean water.

Try it without it and report back, it would harden the water. Ever tried to wash your hands with soap in sea water?
Plus I would be keeping salt as far away from the inside of my brass(and hence the inside of my barrel) as possible.
