Creating a drop chart for a ballistic reticle

I'm sure if I put my mind to it I could work this out... but it's easier to ask on here. I want to make a drop chart for a couple of rifles that have scopes with ballistic reticles ( Vixen and Burris)
I can find the reticle subtensions easy enough and will chronograph the loads. Where do I go from there? For example (from memory) I think the first hash down on my vixen reticle is 2moa, do I just make a chart with 10 yard steps on the hornady (or similar) ballistic calculators then go down the chart untill i find the distance that says to dial 2moa? And so on..?

Burris have a handy tool on their website. I've used for my son's new 243 with an old Fullfield II I had sitting on the shelf. You'd need to confirm velocity to get it accurate.

Strelok will give you a quick read out for most scopes & reticles.

Just figured out a way to get strelok again but unfortunately doesn't have the Vixen reticle

If the vixen is a moa balistic reticle, it might be the same as the votex bdc. Thats just moa hash marks. The vortex podcast do a episode on it.

    Greetings,
Or you could just measure it. With your rifle in a vice and carefully trained on a mark you can fix a tape to the target and read of the drops. Simple. No opinions or guesses.

Which Vixen do you have? There are 7 Vixen reticles in Strelok Pro, I use it for my 4-16x.

With second focal plane you can also play with the magnification to alter the drops ie hash 1 is 2 moa at max mag eg 10x, it's 4 moa at 5x and 3 at 7.5x

Works in theory but you have to be pretty good at figuring it out on the fly. For me personally I just like say ‘beyond 250, use the 1st hash mark, beyond 350 use the 2nd hash mark etc. They don’t have the increments of dialing but are better than estimating holdover.
