    Question CZ 527 223, 1:9

Hey all. Anyone running a CZ 527 in 223 with 1:9 twist?
What's working for you re projectile/powder combo?

    Cheers

I don't have it anymore and was using it only for Varmint shooting but found either BM2 or A2206H both to be excellent consistent powders that gave good FPS.
CCI BR small primers and I ran V Max projectiles from 53 gr to 55 gr with very small grouping.
I did shoot up to 62 gr and it was still very good grouping but lacked the splat effect on Rabbits.
If you are in Tauranga ( I was ) then Stacy at hamill's is good to deal with and has a very good reloading knowledge.

I have one but 1:12. Best combo I've found so far is Sierra 55gr SBT projectiles seated to 0.005" from the lands and 23.5gr N133. Get about 20mm 5 shot groups at 100m.

Mines a 1:12, and so far 50gr Vmax over ar2206h has been miles better than anything else. Will try some BM8208 soon though to see if it helps.

Bedding the front recoil lug didn’t hurt either, and very easy to do. Mine was way oversized in the in letting from the factory.

I found the same with factory ammo with the 50gr V-Max as well, but so far havent been able to find the sweet spot with my reloading. Did you rifle have any factory bedding? Mine has a blob of bedding compound thats had the recoil lug pressed into it. Not exactly pretty

No, no bedding at all, just inletted. I’m struggling a little too beside my vmax load. I can dig it out if you want to try it?
