    decapping pin broken

i just come back from my local gunsmith outfit looking for a new decapping/sizing pin for my .243 die, he said to me there would be a zero chance of getting a new one for it because it is so old, he also said that those type are pretty rare and id be better off selling them to a collector and buying a new set. so im wondering dose anyone know if these sets are worth much? and dose anyone have or know if its possible i can get another decapping/sizing pin for it so i can keep using them. thanks

I reckon those would be the same as the ones in the modern lyman dies and if it is maybe you could upgrade it to the new carbide expander ball system lyman has for thier dies, also you can now get adaptors to run those 310 dies in modern presses

    Mate

Those are Lyman 310 dies and well worth hanging onto.

Take the broken pin to your local engineering store like Paykels or Blackwoods and ask them for a drill blank the same size as the broken one.

They only cost a few dollars each and you can probally make two decapping pins out of each blank just buy grinding them in half.

    Cheers
    Pete

Lyman - Reloading - expanding button | Trade Me

    Maybe
I got one for my Lyman AA dies
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out
