    DON'T SEND PROJECTILES TO YOUSHOP

I thought I'd try my luck sending some projectiles through NZ post's Youshop, out of curiosity mainly.
I checked all their banned substances and projectiles (and brass) seemed to fall outside of everything they considered dangerous or prohibited.

I received an email saying they wouldn't ship my goods as they contained dangerous items.
I sent them a few emails saying that they were listed as dangerous, and explained how they are pieces of copper coated lead and they are completely unrestricted in both the USA and NZ, and that they have sent knives through Youshop but I didn't get anywhere.

I know either need to arrange to have them returned or sent to some other address in the USA, but as I don't know anyone there I guess I'll try getting them returned to Cabelas.

So anyone who is thinking of trying reloading components, don't.

Yeah I had a nice cyclic argument with them recently (just to be an arse). It was like that movie "Idiocracy".
From what i could figure they don't like the idea of incendiaries sneaking through like tracer ammo. It looks a little bit like a polymer tip I s'pose, but hey why cant they read the bloody labels?

It is because you need an export permit to export projectiles, brass etc. There are companies that will export them for you from the US.

First thing YouShop didn't want to send to me was a brass catcher. They reckoned it was a prohibited item.
They ended up sending it to me.

Since then, I've got round the YouShop issue since by emailing them a link to what I want to order, and asking if they would ship them to me. Stated items aren't ITAR or restricted, and that I don't need permit to procure or import.
    Worked for me so far.
