For what its worth donuts can be caused by dies. In my 6.5x47 with once fired brass I couldn't believe it, sized a few cases through a Redding die (luckily not the whole batch) and bugger me, several donuts . . . not supposed to happen according to the interweb but it did. I went to a Lee Collet die and no more problems since. The collect dies are not available in a wide range of cartridges but you can usually adapt them to another cartridge by machining the collet to adjust its length.
