Not quite the velocity you're looking for but found the following with Trail Boss, CCI primers, 55gr V-Max. Howa 1500/ 16" barrel, Sonic 45 suppressor.
8.5gr TB :1678fps av vel. 204fps ES, 105fps SD. Accuracy so so.
8.0gr TB :1725fps av vel. 56fps ES, 28fps SD. Accurate load.
Using 8.0gr load on goats around sensitive areas successfully.
Have also tried H322/AR2219 15.6gr: 1738fps av vel. 67fps ES, 37fps SD. Works alright but decided to go with TB as had a reasonable amount on hand at the time.
Are you finding the vmax is expanding at those velocities?

This chart below is old. Got it from accurateshooter.com originally IIRC.
Those listed are exactly the same. Care needs to be taken with equivalent charts, (and burning rate charts) they only provide approximates which may work OK in some catridges but can be out of wack for others.

Edit: I think IMR 8208 XBR / Bench Mark 8208 is another example.

They seem to be mostly, although i did get a couple that pencilled through yesterday. But I can live with the odd one doing that, out of 14 goats and two small pigs only two minimal expansion isn't bad. I will try some other projectiles shortly, only got about 20 of the vmax loads left Some people don't reckon they work but get the odd unexplained failure with a lot of projectiles.

    Good info cheers.
I am running the 60gr vmax but at high power loads for the opposite reasons.....to extend the 223s effective range of humane killing.

I'm mainly only using this load for shooting around sensitive areas eg. bordering residential areas and near camping ground. Still put in a work order with police for residential areas, avoids having a meeting with AOS.

I played around with 75gr Amax? a while ago for long range load with so-so results, single loading was a pain in the arse. Havn't persevered with this route. Went back to 62gr SP Barnaul which went good in my Ar and go alright in Howa 1500 but Hornady 55gr SP and 55gr Vmax do the job alright out to around 400 yards if I keep my shit together.

Try and get some trial packs from somewhere like Gunworks and have a play, only way to find out if they work. the "experts' aren't always right and rules are made to be tested/broken.

have you tried the 50grn spsx????I used it on wallabies and found it was VERY soft,so awesome terminally...that was about 3000fps eg the 24,5grns 2206h but works as far as I could hit them so should be very ok at slower speeds you looking at...at full speed it made jelly...lots of purple /red jelly...not the best load for retrieving dog tucker but killed very well.

Have been thinking of trying these or similar. Tried Vmax because I got them cheap, they worked so ran with them both high and low velocity.

If anyone's interested, I've tried a few differant projectiles last couple of days. 8gr TB as above.
Today, only fired three shot groups at 50yds. 5'C temp.
55gr Hornady SPSX 1793fps av vel. 49fps ES, 24fps ES 9mm group, shooter error?
Speer 55gr Varmint SP 1769fps av vel. 30fps ES, 15fps SD 5mm group
Sierra Blitz Varmint 1756fps av vel, 58fps ES 30fps SD 4mm group
All these loads were shot using daybag as rest, on ground beside ute. Loads in first post shot at 100 yds.
Yesterday, shot one goat each projectile. All at about 25-30 yds. All expanded well, all high neck shots, substantial wounds. Need to test some more to check reliability but promising. Most importantly, residents approx. 40-50 yards away never heard any shots.
In comparison, 55gr Honady SP @ 2911fps at similar range totally destroys neck, left hanging on by skin.
