Thread: Factory Rem 180 grn Core lokt ammo in 30-06

I’ve found RP .30-06 brass quite uniform in wt. mine is fairly old though.

Contrary to what your thinking I’ve not had much success with powders slower than 09 in this cartridge and slower powders don’t seem to produce great velocity gains over 09. Hence start with 09 I reckon. I’d to a 1 grain ladder from 54 to 57 and go from there. The 178s go well in my old 700 also.
