The 06 is notoriously under loaded in the factory ammo due to so many old / surplus rifles in the US. I settled on this combo because it meant a KISS straight shoulder hold for all practical hunting of those critters Sighted-in 3" high at 100yd & 2"Low at 300,lwas put on to it by some of the most famous Hound Crews using it in the old Remington Pump actionw with barrels docked to 18",it had proven itself for years on big Sambar in the thick stuff.

Just finished loading a wee ladder up to 60.5gr RL22 starting at 55gr. Noting the Rem brass may achieve my goal earlier but pretty hard to get into trouble with RL22 in an 06 case.
I managed to get 60.5 in without hearing any powder crush so hopefully shoot it tomorrow.
