I have a Swedish rolling block in 12.7x44r, I purchased some Bertram brass for it, but it is to thick in the rim with a double step and doesn't fit the breech correctly, it is temperamental so I managed to get some ww 438 brass, wouldnt mind some more if anyone has some. I have experimented today with cutting it down and fire forming it. Never done this before, so started with small load,11grains of ADI 2207, and piece of bog paper rammed in to hold the powder against the primer, then filled the case with wheat germ and another piece of bog paper all rammed tight. Placed muzzle in a ten litre pail with some old towels to muffle it and pulled the trigger, had annealed the neck before I loaded it. Took me three loads to sort the first. Now with 30 grains of powder, one bang, done. Just have to trim to length and make a expander to finish off the neck at the correct size for the 400 grain 50 cal slug to fit nice and tight. I have no dies for this cal so just hand load and use my press to seat the projectile. Loaded with FFG BP. Really happy with the results sofar
