    Fore forming

So I have to do some fire forming and reading a little on line it seems that in the USA they use " cream of wheat ".
Which seems to be a breakfast similar to porridge.

So I'm wondering what guys on the forum use instead ?
    Fine rolled oats ?
    Something firmer ?

It's to open up 303 case necks to .38 so not bumping a shoulder forward more bumping the shoulder out of existence

Only 10 minutes to lock down time

    Tumbling media
    Kapok
    Coffee Grounds etc

I have used the above with good results.

@norsk rolled oats and coffee grounds are precious at the moment !

But I was wondering about tumbler media and thought of finely crushing walnut shells or something like that

Will go through the pantry and see whats past using to eat
Depends how hungry we get !

I just used a fast shotgun/pistol powder and a 1x1" patch. No filler. Worked fine.
Use a hydraulic die now which is so much easier. Even tho the die doesn't give me a perfect sharp shoulder, the rounds are very accurate.

So do you wet the oats to form a paste or put it in dry and keep everything pointing up until you fire it?

Cream of wheat is basically cous cous. You can also use polenta or corn cob case tumble media. Once topped off with any of those just push the cartridge mouth into a candle to plug with wax.

I might fill one with salt and pepper and sneak around and give a starling a bit of a fright

    Problem solved

Went through the pantry and found some old popcorn
My children are married and in late 20s
So this is at least 15 years old and I don't see us being reduced to eating it in the next month.
No matter how bad it gets

Grind it in the mortar and pestle
    Perfect for the job

Now just need the cases to arrive
