Frontier CMJ .30 110Gr Load development

    Hey Team,

I've two recipes for IMR - 6064 (equivalent to Varget / 2208 ) based on 110gr projectiles, (Frontier CMJ .30 Cal 110gr RNFB) one from Lyman the other from Sierra,

    Lyman 45 - 50 gr Sierra 43.5 - 49.1, i realise that seating/bullet jump will be interesting

I've a stack load of 2208 and want to rationalise my powders a bit, i think I've got odd amounts of 2206, 2209 red dot, green dot, 2213sc, herc, 2400 the list just goes on!!! so if i can get another load to work on 2208 then i would be happy.

has anyone tinkered with the projectiles? failing that there is trail boss!

    cheers

I have used those mi1 carbine bullets in both a 3030 and a 308 with imr 4064 35 grains in the 3030 and 46 in the 308. There always seemed to be a bit of unburnt powder left, didnt make too much difference to accuracy for close range hunting but there are better choices I suspect

Yeah I've stack of powder of various makes and types, I've even a near full can of mulwex (?) AR2213 plus herco, red dot and a raft of other older stuff, if I can use that stuff up and then just consolidate powder a bit!

Thanks for the load, it falls within other recipes and while possibly not ideal I will see what I can achieve.

This is what happens when you do a small stocktake!!!!!
