Don't do that....42 grains is 5 grains underneath the starting load for 139 grain bullets and 2209.

I load 50 grains 2209 in my 7x57 with the 139 grain Hornady interlocks (Not the boattails.) Damn good bullet on deer, and the load shoots into less than an inch. I would recommend you try the same load in your 7mm08 - and then use it for everything.
