    GS Custom

Has anybody had any experience with the GS Custom bullets?
Specifically for a 243, Thinking of giving the 69gn HV a go.

I used some 150gr .308's in my RUM. They were really easy to get shooting accurate.

Well still waiting to hear back about pricing on the GS Customs.
This is in marked contrast to dealing with Bryn (targex) in the weekend who has been great to deal with, promptly replying and providing info, and have ordered some 95gr and 105gr for testing

The 95 grn out of my 20" barrel are 3070fps using N550.
Have shot several deer with them from 25 to 275 yards and have been very happy. As Bryn says, penetrate and than break up.

I got some for a 338 but they must have holding them for that sort of money..... I couldn't bring myself to send them down range cause if they shot well I would of had to get more.....
If its guns, tits or tyres it's going to cost you lots of money

    GS Custom

Lol sounds like me. They shot well but I was too tight to shoot at anything that wasn't a deer. Kinda strange though when you consider how much I spend on all the other shooting and reloading stuff.

Talked to Martin and have ordered a pack of 69grs of the GS HV to test and ran the specs of what I should try through quickload for me so have a starting point to go from as well.
Yes the price is but you never know till you try it.

    Bullets arrived this morning.
As it's a paperwork day, spent lunch putting the test loads together.

How did you get on mate?

I played with the 95gr in 6.5 an they are great, shot well easy as an went fast......................... really fast
Have sent the rifle back now so cam will try the ones i loaded on game now

Martin is a good bugger to talk to willing to help all the way an has the info. In my case he was stumpped as well as had never done them for that but got there as well, said no matter how fast i could push them they wont loose more than 30% of its starting weight, i have another 50 to try in mine as well but i guess at the speed they are going will need a few animals in a row to have a projectile to recover to weigh
